AEye, Inc. (LIDR), a company focused on lidar technology, announced a strategic partnership with Blue-Band LLC to accelerate deployment of AI-driven smart city infrastructure. Shares of AEye rose 11.36% today on the news.
The collaboration integrates AEye’s Apollo lidar with Blue-Band’s Integrator-AI™ platform as part of the recently launched OPTIS™ initiative. Together, the technologies enable high-resolution 3D perception and real-time analytics for traffic monitoring, incident detection, and infrastructure intelligence. Apollo’s long-range lidar, capable of detecting objects up to one kilometer away, will feed into Blue-Band’s orchestration platform to provide actionable insights for safer and more efficient transportation systems.
AEye CEO Matt Fisch stated “By integrating Blue-Band’s AI platform, we’re extending OPTIS’™ capability to interface directly with traffic control systems, providing real time analytics to enable lifesaving and congestion-reducing actions at traffic intersections.”
