Ainos, Inc. (AIMD) has secured a three-year, $2.1 million subscription-based order from ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd. to deploy its AI Nose platform across three major semiconductor manufacturing sites in Taiwan. This marks the platform’s first commercial milestone in industrial settings and reinforces Ainos’ push into high-value AI-powered scent detection.
The deal will see 1,400 AI Nose units rolled out at ASEH’s Kaohsiung, Zhongli, and SPIL facilities. The units will be deployed under Ainos’ “SmellTech-as-a-Service” model, enabling real-time olfactory monitoring to support predictive maintenance, process optimization, and operational safety in complex manufacturing environments.
This is Ainos’ second revenue-generating deployment for AI Nose, following its entry into the senior care sector earlier this year. Additional pilot programs are now underway with partners in Japan and Taiwan, supporting the company’s broader expansion across Asia’s advanced manufacturing markets.
The AI Nose system translates scent into machine-readable Smell ID data, supported by Ainos’ proprietary smell language model. The company positions this as a next-generation sensory technology, similar to how vision and language models operate in other AI applications.
Ainos expects the deployment to accelerate model performance and data acquisition while supporting its commercialization roadmap for the second half of 2025.
