BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) announced it now holds over 1.15 million Ethereum tokens valued at $4.96 billion, making it the largest ETH treasury globally and the third-largest cryptocurrency treasury overall. The company’s ETH position grew by $2 billion in just one week, rising from 833,137 tokens to 1,150,263 as of August 10.
BitMine launched its ETH Treasury strategy on June 30, closing on July 8, with the goal of acquiring 5% of the total ETH supply. Its rapid accumulation has been backed by prominent institutional investors including ARK Invest’s Cathie Wood, MOZAYYX, Founders Fund, Bill Miller III, Pantera, Kraken, DCG, and Galaxy Digital.
The company’s stock has also become one of the most actively traded in the U.S., with an average daily dollar volume of $2.2 billion over the past five days, ranking #25 nationally, just behind Costco and ahead of JPMorgan and Micron Technology.
