Florida Education Institute Serves Up a Season of Culinary Excellence and Community Events Across Miami-Dade

Miami, FL – September 2025 – Florida Education Institute (FEI.edu), a leading career school with nationally recognized programs in Culinary Arts and Pastry & Baking, is proud to announce its participation in a dynamic lineup of culinary and cultural events this fall. From international celebrations to local festivals, FEI chefs, students, and faculty are bringing the power of food to the heart of the community.

Oktoberfest at Downtown Doral Park

On Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, FEI will join the City of Doral’s Oktoberfest at Downtown Doral Park (8395 NW 53rd St). The free, all-ages event features traditional German music, games, Bavarian dances, beer sampling, and family activities. Local vendors will serve German-inspired dishes, while children enjoy arts & crafts, face painting, and more. Admission is free, with optional beer sampling tickets available.

International Chefs Day – Culinary Excellence in Miami

FEI will also honor International Chefs Day on October 20, 2025, spotlighting the power of chefs as mentors, innovators, and leaders. As part of Worldchefs’ global initiative, FEI chefs and students will host live cooking demonstrations, cultural tasting menus, and mentorship workshops at the Miami campus.

“International Chefs Day reminds us that chefs do more than create recipes—they inspire communities and shape the future of food,” said Chef Isamar Leal, Head Chef and Culinary Program Director at FEI.

Adult Cooking Class – A Celebration of Latin Flavor & Culture

In partnership with the City of Doral, FEI will co-host an Adult Cooking Class on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Doral Cultural Arts Center (8363 NW 53rd Street). Guests will dive into the rich traditions of Venezuela, Peru, and Cuba in a lively, hands-on experience guided by professional chefs. Registration is $40 per person (ages 18+).

Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Doral Amphitheatre

On Thursday, September 25, 2025, FEI students and instructors will present live cooking demonstrations during the City of Doral’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Central Park Amphitheatre (3000 NW 87 Ave). The event, free and open to the public, will feature salsa, flamenco, folkloric dances, and a finale by a live 11-piece salsa band. FEI’s dishes will highlight the diversity and vibrancy of Latin cuisine.

Univision Catering, Pizza Day, and Latin Fiesta Cooking Workshop

Earlier this month, FEI partnered with Univision to provide catering for a studio event, offering students hands-on experience serving media professionals in Miami.

On Thursday, September 18, 2025, FEI will host a Pizza Day on campus, giving students a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy food together between classes.

Closing out the week, on Friday, September 19, 2025, FEI will host an Adult Cooking Workshop – Latin Fiesta Night at Doral Central Park (3005 NW 92nd Ave) from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The $40 experience includes paired drinks, take-home recipes, and a menu featuring:

• Tostones with avocado crème and mango pico

• Mojo-marinated skirt steak with yuca mash and chimichurri

• Dulce de leche lava cake
