Fusion Fuel Green PLC (NASDAQ: HTOO) announced today that its subsidiary, Bright Hydrogen Solutions Ltd. (“BrightHy Solutions”), has been selected to move forward to final contract negotiations for two green hydrogen projects in Southern Europe.

The company was chosen as the preferred partner in a tender process for a 2 MW hydrogen project with a regional cement company, designed to supply both hydrogen and oxygen to support the client’s decarbonization goals. If secured, this would represent the first project executed under Fusion Fuel’s proposed hydrogen investment partnership structure, which carries a €30 million commitment outlined in a previously announced non-binding term sheet.

In addition, BrightHy Solutions has been tapped as the engineering and installation partner and equipment consultant for a planned hydrogen plant and refueling station in Portugal, developed on behalf of a multi-national construction company. This project would also bring in several of BrightHy’s strategic partners to deliver the solution.

“These projects are the result of months of close collaboration and solution tailoring with potential partners and clients,” said Frederico Figueira de Chaves, CEO of BrightHy Solutions. “The cement project would, if secured under the proposed terms, be an important step for us, not only due to the profile of the counterparties involved, but also because it would be the first project within our proposed investment vehicle portfolio, aligning with our broader strategy to scale meaningful hydrogen infrastructure across the region.”

Both opportunities emerged from competitive tender processes following extensive due diligence by counterparties. While the projects are now in contract negotiations, Fusion Fuel cautioned there is no guarantee that definitive agreements will be executed.

The advancement underscores Fusion Fuel’s growing presence in Europe’s clean energy transition, as green hydrogen continues to gain traction in industrial applications and infrastructure development.
