Redwire Corporation (NYSE: RDW) has launched Acorn 2.0, a major update to its AI-powered modeling and simulation platform designed for aerospace and defense applications. Built on a Modular Open System Architecture, Acorn 2.0 uses agent-based modeling to address complex challenges beyond the reach of traditional static tools.
The software enables customers to quickly design, test, and validate solutions for missions involving hybrid architectures, multi-domain operations, cyber defense assessments, spacecraft communications, and supply chain digital twins. Enhancements include accelerated and interactive simulation modes, in-the-loop integration, and compatibility with existing AI and modeling tools.
Acorn 2.0 is already being deployed to select customers, including Earth observation startup DeepSat, which will use the platform alongside in-orbit AI to optimize its satellite constellation design.
