Upstart Holdings, Inc. (UPST) announced that Cornerstone Community Financial Credit Union (CCF), serving Michigan and Ohio, has joined the Upstart Referral Network to expand access to personal loans through AI-powered underwriting.
The partnership allows qualified borrowers applying on Upstart.com to seamlessly transition into a Cornerstone-branded lending experience, where they can complete the application and closing process entirely online.
For Upstart, the move underscores its strategy of expanding distribution through regional credit unions and banks. More than 100 financial institutions now leverage Upstart’s AI models and cloud applications to deliver credit products, with over 90% of loans fully automated.
